This collection consists of materials dating from 1977 through 1999 with a good deal of the documents coming from Stan W. Lindberg's time as editor of The Georgia review. These materials include correspondence and records of Lindberg's work with authors published (and not published) in the journal and his creation of the "Roots in Georgia" Literary Symposium in 1985. There are also administrative and business records that show, among other things, his interactions with UGA Administrators and the Main Library on campus. Other materials highlight his work as an English professor and as an organizer of the Cultural Olympiad held in conjunction with the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. These records emphasize his efforts with the Cultural Olympiad's Winterland and Nobel Laureate projects.

This collection consists of reviews and assessments for many of UGA's major academic programs. These reports date from 1992 through 2012 and were used, in conjuction with other studies, by the Task Force on General Education and Student Learning. This Task Force presented a report (using the earlier data) on how to meet the challenges for undergraduate general education at the University in 2005. In addition to its use by the UGA Administration and the Task Force, these documents also provide researchers with information on the operations of most of the major academic programs found at UGA in the 1990s through the 2000s. The collection also contains strategic planning records, information on the senior administrators' retreat, and annual reports.

This collection has materials from 1906 to 1995 with most dating from the 1930s through the mid-1980s. Documents found in the collection include Gidden's scholarly writings, information about his work with gunpowder during World War II and some of his professional correspondence. There are teaching and lecture materials created during the years 1946-1985 when he was an UGA professor. Gidden's collection also has an extensive reading file consisting of articles and notes that date from 1906 to 1995. In addition, there are plaques and certificates awarded to him during the 1950s, 1970s and 1980s.

The material in this collection includes Lutian R. Wootton's correspondence with his colleagues at UGA and at other institutions (1940s-1980s) along with syllabi and teaching notes (1950s-1980s) that show what was expected from those in his classroom supervision courses. In addition, many of Wootton's research notes for his numerous articles, lectures and textbooks (1950s-1980s) are included. Of particular interest are his Trends studies and information pertaining to the Walker County Research Project. Lastly, material regarding his leadership within the Department of Curriculum and Supervision along with his interactions with other departments in the College of Education is found in the collection (1950s-1990s).

The Walter Danner papers span the years 1940 through 1973 and is divided into two series: Desegregation (1959-1961) and Administratve Materials/Correspondence (1940-1973). The first series, Desegregation, deals with the efforts of African Americans (particularly Charlayne Hunter and Hamilton Holmes) to be accepted to the University of Georgia and the actions Danner took as Registrar. The second series, Administrative Materials/Correspondence, includes correspondence and other materials that show Danner's interactions with University of Georgia departments and faculty along with with various outside organizations.

This collection has a number of Craige's essays along with information about the books that she wrote on a variety of topics including literature, politics, Alvar, Eugene Odum and her parrot Cosmo. There are brochures and photographs from The Delta Prize for Global Understanding (1999-2002, 2004-2009). The winners of this award include internationally known figures such as Desmond Tutu, Mikhail Gorbachev and Nelson Mandela. There are audiovisual materials documenting interview between Craige and Eugene Odum and others. There are also photographs of Craige with Art Rosenbaum standing in front of the mural that he painted at the Willson Center and of Alvar (Sunol) and her at his home in Spain.

The materials relate to Drewry's various publications, the Henry W. Grady School of Journalism, and the establishment and administration of the George Foster Peabody Awards.

The collection consists of personal papers of E. Merton Coulter from 1898-1981. The papers include correspondence, clippings, diaries, financial records (1920-1977), lecture notes, student papers, grade books (1914-1958), and writings of others, as well as printed material, photographs, and slides pertaining to Georgia or Coulter's travels abroad. The correspondence (1898-1981) includes carbons (1946-1979) of Coulter's outgoing letters and incoming correspondence to Coulter from scholars, publishers, and former students. The correspondence reflects Coulter's activities at the University of Georgia (1919-1958); the publication of his books and articles; his activities with the American Historical Association, the Southern Historical Association, and the Georgia Civil War Centennial Commission; and his association with various historians. The most extensive group of correspondence (1929-1965) is with Roland M. Harper of the University of Alabama. The diaries (1910-1981, with gaps) contain often lengthy but sporadic entries describing Coulter's travels, his writings, his opinion of Georgia politics, and his daily activities. After 1952, the entries become very brief and focus on his daily activities.
